Health technology assessment of the use vaccines for specific prevention of influenza has been conducted. The safety profile of the vaccines is acceptable. There is no convincing evidence for the effectiveness of vaccination in healthy adults, children, the elderly, pregnant women, HIV-infected persons, people with concomitant diseases and cancer. The benefit of vaccination in patients with cystic fibrosis and health professionals is missing. There is noot identified evidence of the impact of vaccination in patients with bronchiectasis disease.
Key words: influenza vaccine, vaccination, influenza, health technology assessment, specific prevention
