В лекции определены понятия «саркопения» и «миопения», их распространенность  у мужчин и женщин пожилого возраста, диагностика, связь с индексом  массы тела, их значение в общей и сердечно-сосудистой смертности. Противодействовать саркопении и миопении могут силовая физическая тренировка (2-3 раза в неделю) диетические меры (коррекция макро- и микронутриентов), лекарственное воздействие (препараты анаболического свойства).

The lecture defined the concept of "sarcopenia" and "miopeniya", their prevalence in men and older women, diagnostics, link between a body mass index, their value in general and cardiovascular mortality. To counteract sarcopenia and miopenia can power physical exercise (2-3 times a week), dietary measures (correction of macro- and micronutrients), drug exposure (drugs anabolic properties).
